The Youth Forum of Santa Maria La Carità gives to its young members the conditions to act in collaboration with the local elected bodies, helping with proposals and opinions to the setup phase of the decisions that they take related to Youth Policy. The Youth Forum has the following aims: 1) Representing the youth of the territory in a participated and democratic way; 2) Encourage young people to a democratic participation to the public and social life, contributing to the formation of a healthy and strong youth citizen background; 3) Allow the youth of the city to have a strong instrument for the dialogue and institutional relationship with the municipal administration; 4) Provide to young people a place where they can freely express their opinions on issues that concern them, including on proposals and municipality and provincial policies, defining the objectives and programs related to youth policies that are jurisdiction of the municipality; 5) Offer to young people the opportunity to submit proposals; 6) Allow the above-mentioned bodies to consult young people on specific issues; 7) Provide a forum in which they can develop, monitor and evaluate the projects involving young people; 8) Provide a place to facilitate the comparison with associations and youth organizations; 9) To encourage the participation of young people in other consultative bodies of local authorities; 10) Giving to young people the opportunity to express and act on issues that concern them, training them in the democratic life and the management of community life; 11) To promote public events, conferences, debates, research on Youth policies; 12) To promote projects at the local, provincial and regional community in collaboration with public bodies, associations and other Forum, aimed by young people; 13) To promote a relationship of communication with young people in collaboration with local bodies and different aggregations, institutions in the Forum or interested in similar topics; 14) To facilitate the establishment of an integrated information system between local government, young people and youth aggregations, compared to emerging needs in the municipal area and interventions relating thereto; 15) Flanking the Municipal Administration in the information strategy and communication involving the institutions, aggregations, associations included in the Forum, in organic relationship with the structures of the "Youth Information", which synergistically interact with the entire activities of the Forum, as required by Resolution 25/11/2003 Council of Europe in matters of common objectives on participation and information for young people (OJEU, 05/12/2003); 16) Deepening, examine and make proposals on the relationship between local government and the reality of youth; 17) Promoting forms of volunteerism and cooperation with the Administration for young people; 18) To promote a culture of legality, solidarity, civic education, non-violence, gender equality, respect for the ecosystem; 19) Promoting the "Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen" of 1789 and the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" of 1948; 20) Supporting a spirit of social cohesion based on the sharing of individual, unique authentic and personal experiences; 21) To promote the knowledge and respect for the Constitution of the Italian Republic.
